Anthropic’s newest Claude AI model is an expert at programming

Yesterday, in an Anthropic, a company that specializes in AI, has unveiled Claude 4 – a new generation of AI models that includes Claude 4 Opus as well as Claude 4 Sonnet. Claude 4 features Claude 4 Opus’s new capabilities.

The Claude 4 models can give you quick answers or think longer about their responses. They can also follow your instructions more precisely, by using different tools simultaneously.

Claude 4 Opus excels at solving complex problems, and programming. Anthropic claims that Claude 4 Opus is the best AI model in the world for programming. The model can maintain performance over long tasks with thousands of steps.

Anthropic claims that Claude 4 Sonnet has a vastly improved set of abilities over Claude 3.7 Sonnet. The newer Claude 4 Sonnet still has a good coding ability, but it is not as good as Claude 4 Opus. Sonnet instead has a better balance of skill and practicality.
