Trump suggests Comey should be prosecuted over ’86’ Instagram post

The President Donald Trump weighed in regarding a now deleted Instagram post from former FBI Director James Comey. Trump supporters claim that the post was a death threatening. While Trump did not call for Comey’s prosecution, he strongly suggested it using the mafia style of speech he has become known for.

In a clip aired on Fox News“If you are the FBI director, and you don’t understand what that means, it’s assassination.” It says it loudly and clearly.

Comey uploaded a photo on Instagram Thursday showing seashells written out to read “8647,” a reference for Trump as the 47th President. The number 86 can be used to expel a customer, or remove a dish in the restaurant business. It can also be used to mean “kill” in some contexts. Comey deleted the original post and then wrote a follow up in which he said he was against violence of any kind. Top officials in the Trump Administration, including FBI director Kash Patel, and Homeland Security secretary Kristi Noem have said that there will be an inquiry. Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabrield said Comey must be sent to prison.

Trump commented on the controversy in an interview with Bretbaier, which is scheduled to air later today. However, it’s unclear exactly when it was recorded. Fox & Friends played a clip of Trump Friday morning, insisting that Comey meant it as a death threat. The president, who is currently in the Middle East said that Comey deleted the post only because he had been “hit hard” about it, an apparent reference to the whining posted on social media platform X.

Trump told Baier that, “He wasn’t very capable, but he knew what it meant.” “And he did that for a purpose and he was so hard hit. Because people like me and they like what is happening with our nation. Our country is respected again, and all of this… but he’s calling to assassinate the president.”

Baier interrupted, saying “Obviously, he apologized and claimed he wasn’t urging violence.” But Trump responded that he only apologized because he had been hit, and called Comey a very bad person. Baier asked Trump what he wished to happen, and Trump referred to Pam Bondi who is the Attorney General and frequently appears on Fox News

Trump said, “I’m not going to take a stance on it. That’s up to Pam and the rest of the great people.” “But I’ll say this, I believe it’s a terrible situation. When you add his past to that… if it was clean, he’s not. He’s a dirty policeman. He’s a dirt cop. If he had a good history, I would understand if he was given leniency. But I’m letting them make that choice.”

By reading between the lines it’s clear what Trump is trying to say. He wants Comey put in jail, and the only reason he hasn’t said it explicitly is that so many of his top officials have already said that. Gabbard was asked on Jesse Watters show Thursday night whether she thought Comey should be jailed.

“I do,” Gabbard “Said” “I’m very worried for the life of the president. We’ve already seen assassination attempts. I’m concerned for his safety, and James Comey should, in my opinion, be held accountable and jailed for this.”

Comey had been appointed Director of FBI by President Barack Obama in 2013, and fired by President Trump in May 2017 during his first term. Trump was not happy with the FBI investigations into his campaign’s 2016 contacts with the Russian government. These contacts were real. Trump has been able to call all of this the “Russia Hoax” while ignoring the facts. extensive connections

Calling for the death the president is a crime, and it’s one of the few things not protected by the First Amendment of U.S. Constitution. was pointed out. Comey claims he didn’t call for the death President Trump, and given the many interpretations the number 86 has, it is almost certainly constitutionally protected.

Is it possible that the Trump regime will try to test this theory in court by arresting Comey? Even if they lose, Trump will likely do whatever he wants. Remember Kilmar Abrego Garciathe man who was wrongly sent to El Salvador, and the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that Trump had to bring him home? Trump still hasn’t brought him to the U.S., and doesn’t appear to have any plans to do so.

Trump previously stated that he wanted to send American citizens into El Salvador’s prison for torture. It would be absurd to even consider this idea in any other time, but it is possible that Trump’s goons will not simply throw Comey into a U.S. prison. Comey may find himself in a foreign prison with no recourse.
