ChatGPT will soon record your meetings, summarize them, and transcribe their transcripts

OpenAI could be planning to compete with Microsoft Teams Copilot Integration by introducing a new “Record” ChatGPT feature.

ChatGPT does support third-party services but it is not yet possible to use the service to summarize live meetings and generate an AI-powered transcription.

Once enabled, you will be able “drag to speak”get detailed reports and quickly generate summaries. ChatGPT asks for microphone and system audio access, and reminds users that consent is required before recording.

It is clear that OpenAI plans to take on Microsoft Teams Copilot integration.

It is likely to work as an overlay within ChatGPT, which records your screen or microphone, and not as a direct integration into apps like Teams or Zoom.
