Rumor Mill: After the disappointing launches of Nvidia’s RTX RTX 5090 5080 Ti 5070 and 5070 graphics card, the Blackwell line’s mainstream products and entry-level products should be emerging soon. Unsurprisingly, the Blackwell lineup features slightly more CUDA Cores, draws more power, and upgrades to GDDR7 without increasing VRAM pool. The 5050 is the exception, as it closely resembles RTX 3050.

Prominent leaked “Kopite7kimi” shared specifications for Nvidia’s upcoming RTX 5050 (19459028) 5060 The company could announce 5060 Tigraphic cards this week. The three lower-end Blackwell GPUs are, at best minor upgrades to their predecessors.

This is confirmed by the fact that the RTX5060 and 5050 have only 8GB of VRAM. Come on, Nvidia. It’s 2025. The 5060 Ti has a 16GB option. This confirms that the flagship Blackwell GPU 5090 is the only one to have more VRAM than the predecessor.

Nvidia may promote its new mainstream products as budget-oriented options for multi-frame generation on 460Hz and 500Hz 1080p monitors. However, even at mainstream price levels, some users might find three consecutive generations of 8GB graphics cards hard to swallow, especially considering that competing options, like Intel’s Arc B580, include 12GB.

The RTX 5060 and 5060 Ti each feature a few hundred more CUDA cores than their 40 series equivalents. The 5060 upgrades from 3072 to 3850 cores, while the 5060 Ti receives an increase from 4352 to 4608. Of course, this factor makes them more energy-hungry, with TDPs rising from 115W and 165W to 150W and 180W, respectively.

Meanwhile, the RTX 5050 looks identical to the 3050, which launched in 2022. It still has 2560 CUDA cores, a 130W power draw, and 8GB of GDDR6 VRAM, while Nvidia upgraded all the other Blackwell GPUs to GDDR7. However, clock speeds for the three upcoming Blackwell cards remain unknown.

Every Blackwell graphics card that has been released to date has delivered smaller gains than the GPU ranked higher. The RTX 5070 performs nearly identically, and sometimes worse, than the 4070 Super. This trend suggests that improvements may be less or nonexistent for mainstream and entry-level versions.

Despite the RTX5060 and 5060Ti’s unimpressive specs the history suggests they might become the most popular Blackwell product, as 60 series graphics cards usually dominate Steam hardware surveys. The latest models may only appeal to those upgrading from older cards, if AMD’s Radeon RX9060 and Radeon RX9050 do not offer a better value.

Previous reports suggest that Nvidia could announce the RTX5060 and 5060Ti this Thursday, March 13th. The availability is not expected until next month.
