Rumor Mill: Will Nvidia and the Blackwell Consumer Line be redeemed with the RTX-5060? It’s unlikely, but we may find out soon. According to reports, the RTX series, which consists of three cards, is set to be announced next week. However, they may not be available for purchase (assuming that they are actually in stock) for another month.
Accordng to VideoCardz– Nvidia just informed their board partners that the RTX series will be announced next Thursday, March 13.
According to the same report, there will be three versions of the RTX 5060 – the standard version, RTX 5060Ti 8GB and RTX 5060Ti 16GB. The Eurasian Economic Union database showed the two latter cards in January, which lends credibility to the report.

Although Nvidia hasn’t revealed when they plan to release these cards, Zed, better known as his X handles/pseudonym MEGAsizeGPU wrote in a blog post that they won’t be available until a month after. This is in line with previous rumors that pointed to an April launch. It’s not clear if Nvidia plans to release all three cards at once or stagger them.
The RTX5060 series will be released within 10 days, but will not be available until a month after.

It will be surprising if the RTX5060 series doesn’t have the same problems as the other Blackwell cards. Retailers are having a hard time getting the cards and there is little or no stock.
In terms of the cards, we believe that the RTX5060 Ti has a 180W TDP. We don’t yet know if it is for the 16GB or 8GB models. Comparatively, the 8GB RTX4060 Ti has a TGP of 160W while the 16GB version has a TGP of 165W.
AMD could release the Radeon RX 9060 in April as well. Team Red will also launch 8GB and (16GB) versions of the RX9060 XT to mirror what Nvidia does with the RTX5060 Ti.
In the end, however, many people will be apathetic towards the RTX 5060, and its variants. Blackwell has been criticized for its lackluster generational upgrades, pricing, dishonest advertising, and technical issues, such as missing ROPs. The RTX-5070 scored a mere 60 in our review. We called it overpromised and underdelivered. It was also deemed pointless.
Nvidia xx60 series is a long-time favorite of mainstream gamers. The RTX 3060 has recently lost its top spot in the Steam survey, which it had held for years, to the RTX 4060. The RTX 4060Ti is now in third place. Even the RTX 2060 is still in the top ten. We’ll need to wait to see if (eventually), the RTX-5060 proves to be just as popular.
