Elon Musk speaks on China’s DeepSeek during the WELT summit
Elon Musk praised the Chinese team that created DeepSeek. He said, “You can expect them to do many great things. DeepSeek is one of them.” But he downplayed ChatGPT’s impact. “But is this a complete revolution in AI?” No, it’s not. xAI and other companies will soon release models that are better then DeepSeek.” These comments were made by the Tesla CEO at the WELT Economic Summit in Germany at the end January. A video of this appearance was posted on YouTube on Saturday. Musk confirmed in the interview he had no interest in buying TikTok despite being associated with the ByteDance owned app due to its possible US ban.[
