Chinese Electric Vehicle Maker Li Auto has chosen Germany as the base of its first overseas Research and Development Center, marking the official launch of its global strategy. It also enhances its research capabilities in fields such as artificial intelligence. The announcement was made by President Ma Donghui at an opening ceremony held in Munich on January 17, which also included Qiu Xuejun as China’s consul-general in Munich. According to the report, the company will use the center for research on the European market, and to develop capabilities that are aligned with European automotive standards and consumer preferences. This is to prepare for a possible entry into the highly competitive and mature European car market.[
