Mockingbird Raises RMB 20 Million to Accelerate AI-Driven UGC Gaming Platform

Mockingbird, an innovative platform specializing in user-generated content (UGC) game development powered by artificial intelligence-generated content (AIGC) agents, has successfully closed its Series A funding round with RMB 20 million (approximately USD 2.78 million). The company’s valuation now stands at RMB 200 million (around USD 27.8 million). This financing round was spearheaded by Lianzhangmen, a U.S.-listed smart community and advertising platform, alongside Dianhun Network (stock code 603256), a prominent A-share game developer, as well as Hangzhou Yining Network, Hangzhou Qihan Guangqi Network, and several angel investors.

The capital injection will be strategically allocated to enhance Mockingbird’s proprietary AIGC toolchain, expand its UGC ecosystem, broaden its global intellectual property (IP) publishing capabilities, and pursue mergers and acquisitions. These initiatives aim to solidify Mockingbird’s leadership in China’s burgeoning UGC gaming sector and propel its vision to become the “Sony of the Alpha Generation.” The company’s multidisciplinary team, blending expertise in gaming, artificial intelligence, and publishing, is committed to redefining industry standards through innovative approaches.

Strategic Backing from Publicly Listed Industry Leaders

The involvement of Dianhun Network and Lianzhangmen underscores the strategic importance of Mockingbird’s AIGC and UGC integration. Dianhun Network, a key player in game development and operations, is actively expanding its footprint across the gaming value chain and next-generation productivity tools. Mockingbird’s AI-driven agents promise to overhaul traditional game development pipelines, delivering significant cost efficiencies and streamlined workflows.

Meanwhile, Lianzhangmen’s extensive smart terminal network across China offers robust offline traffic channels and hybrid marketing opportunities, enhancing the reach of Mockingbird’s UGC content. Local investors such as Hangzhou Yining Network and Hangzhou Qihan Guangqi Network will bolster the platform’s operational capabilities and technical infrastructure, ensuring scalable growth.

Innovative Edge: Comprehensive AIGC Solutions and a Self-Sustaining UGC Ecosystem

Advanced AI-Driven Development Pipeline

Built on a foundation of native artificial intelligence, Mockingbird has developed proprietary AIGC agents and multimodal models that automate key aspects of game creation, including strategic planning, 2D and 3D artwork generation, and coding. This end-to-end automation revolutionizes the game development process, reducing time-to-market and enhancing creative possibilities.

Leading the UGC Metaverse Movement

As a trailblazer in the UGC gaming space, Mockingbird stands out as China’s first metaverse-focused UGC publisher. The platform boasts a global user base exceeding 10 million, with a demographic primarily aged 9 to 24, spanning North America, Southeast Asia, Europe, and Brazil. By May 2025, key metrics include:

  • Over 5.5 million active users on two flagship titles
  • More than 85 million total downloads
  • Concurrent users (CCU) surpassing 55,000

Diverse Monetization within a Closed-Loop Ecosystem

Mockingbird integrates user-generated content, proprietary IPs, and cutting-edge hardware to create a robust monetization framework. Revenue streams encompass in-app purchases (IAP), in-app advertising (IAA), IP licensing, hardware sales, and immersive branded metaverse experiences. The company projects 2025 sales to exceed RMB 100 million (approximately USD 13.9 million). CEO He Shihao envisions Mockingbird as the first publicly listed gaming company to fully harness the synergy of AIGC and UGC.

UGC and AIGC: Catalysts for a Multi-Trillion Dollar Gaming Industry

According to Precedence Research, the global gaming market is expected to reach USD 372.4 billion by the end of 2024 and is forecasted to more than double to USD 721.7 billion by 2034. User-generated content and AI-generated content are identified as pivotal growth drivers. Gamers increasingly seek interactive, co-creative experiences rather than passive consumption.

Mockingbird’s founder highlights the commercial success of platforms like Roblox as proof of UGC’s potential. “Our standardized AIGC agents for UGC development align perfectly with investor expectations,” he states. Currently valued at RMB 500 million (USD 69.4 million), Mockingbird’s valuation remains conservative compared to industry peers, many of which exceed RMB 1 billion. The company aims for an initial public offering within the next two years.

Strategic Vision: Technological Innovation and Global Market Penetration

Following this funding round, Mockingbird will concentrate on three core strategic objectives:

  • Enhancing its AI toolchain to enable deeper integration of intelligent agents within game logic and operational frameworks.
  • Launching multiple UGC-driven game titles across international markets throughout 2025.
  • Developing next-generation entertainment hardware tailored for niche audiences and users of emerging device categories.

Industry analysts predict that Mockingbird is on track to become China’s next unicorn in the UGC gaming sector, driven by its innovative technology and expansive global ambitions.
