Xiaomi launched the 17, 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max but there’s one member still missing from its latest flagship – the 17 Ultra.
Although it’s not clear when this phone will become official, the 15 Ultra (Xiaomi skipped 16 to match Apple’s product name scheme) became official in February. In China, some new details have been revealed about the Xiaomi 17 Ultra cameras.
Xiaomi 15 Ultra
According Digital Chat Station on Weibo the 17 Ultra will have a new main camera with 50 MP that supports a better in-sensor Zoom across more zoom levels. In fact, this capability is almost the same as the focal length of periscope zoom cameras.
This will also be a brand new camera, with 200 MP resolution and telephoto macro capabilities. It will also have multi-focal, lossless zoom. The same source says that the dynamic range for these two new cameras is very high.
An earlier rumor claimed that the Xiaomi 17 Ultra would have four cameras on the back, with all of them having 50 MP resolution. The periscope telephoto camera will be the fifth. It’s not clear whether the 17 Ultra will use the rear screen of the 17 Pro or Pro Max – perhaps not, since it needs more space to accommodate its larger cameras. Via
