This investment also reflects NVIDIA’s growing interest in Africa’s data and AI eco-system. Africa’s emerging data ecosystem — led by Cassava – offers a strategic chance to localise computing power and build homegrown AI capability.
This deal adds NVIDIA’s name to Cassava’s list of global and regional investors. These include Econet Group and British International Investment. DFC, Finnfund and Fund for Export Development in Africa, (Afreximbank/FEDA), Gateway Capital and Google LLC.
