Intella Secures $12.5 Million to Launch Ziila, an Advanced Conversational AI for Arabic Markets

Intella, a pioneering company specializing in AI-driven customer engagement solutions, has successfully raised $12.5 million in its latest funding round to develop Ziila, a cutting-edge conversational AI assistant. Ziila is designed to seamlessly integrate with Intella’s existing intellaCX analytics platform, enhancing enterprises’ ability to transform customer interactions into valuable insights.

Strong Investor Backing Fuels Expansion

The Series A funding round was spearheaded by Prosus Ventures, with significant contributions from 500 Global, Wa’ed Ventures, Hala Ventures, Idrisi Ventures, and HearstLab, the investment division of Hearst Corporation. This latest infusion brings Intella’s total capital raised to over $16.9 million, positioning the company for accelerated growth and innovation.

Empowering Arabic-Speaking Enterprises with AI

Nour AlTaher, Co-founder and CEO of Intella, emphasized the company’s mission: “Our goal has always been to close the gap between global AI advancements and the needs of the Arabic-speaking community.” She added that the new funding will enable Intella to broaden its product offerings, recruit top AI specialists, and deepen its research and development efforts. Founded in 2021 by Nour AlTaher and CTO Omar Mansour, Intella delivers enterprise-grade transcription, analytics, and AI-powered customer engagement tools supporting over 25 languages, with a strong focus on the MENA region.

Intella’s solutions are already trusted by major players across diverse industries such as finance, telecommunications, and government sectors. Notably, Jumia, a leading e-commerce platform in Africa and the Middle East, is among its clientele.

Unlocking the Potential of the MENA Market

Robin Voogd, Head of Middle East Investments at Prosus Ventures, highlighted the vast opportunity in the region: “With more than 7,500 companies operating across MENA and Arabic ranking as the fifth most spoken language globally, the market potential is immense.” He noted that the funding will be strategically deployed to enhance Intella’s technological capabilities and reinforce its market leadership.

The capital will specifically support the launch of Ziila, a conversational AI agent designed to work alongside intellaCX analytics. This integrated product suite empowers businesses to not only analyze customer conversations but also create sophisticated, voice-driven customer experiences that reflect the next generation of engagement.

Advancing Arabic AI with Contextual Understanding

Omar Mansour, Intella’s Co-founder and CTO, described the company’s vision for the future: “Our AI models have already set industry benchmarks for Arabic language accuracy. Moving forward, we are focused on developing intelligent, Arabic-first conversational agents capable of handling multi-turn dialogues and understanding context deeply-transforming how enterprises connect with their customers.”
