Thank you
to all of the readers who tuned in to our second installment of question and answer series on artificial intelligence. I was delighted to see the number of questions submitted before the event as well as the questions that were added into the chat during the conversation.
Missed out on the broadcast? We’ve got you covered. WIRED subscribers have access to a replay of the event. The livestream of the first event is also available here.
To start off the chat, I gave a few quick demos on how to use image and voice features that are built into chatbots. This included an example of using ChatGPT’s Advanced Voice Mode to learn languages in a Duolingo style. Check out my AI advice for December for a deeper dive on some of the questions we discussed. I tackle questions like proper attribution for generative tool and how to educate the next generation about AI.
For those interested in AI-assisted note taking, here is a link to WIREDโs interview with Raiza, a former senior product manager from Google who helped create NotebookLM within the company before leaving to focus solely on her startup. The podcasts NotebookLM creates of two AI hosts discussing your files are entertaining and surprisingly useful.
Anyone who is just getting started with AI should sign up for the second season of our AI Unlocked Newsletter, where I will walk you through the different AI tools and ways to approach technology.
