Amap launches low altitude navigation with 3D mapping in Shenzhen (19459000)
On the 30th of July, Shenzhen’s Longgang District in conjunction with Alibaba’s Amap (Gaode), unveiled “Air Amap”a temporal-spatial platform that marks a major leap forward in low-altitude infrastructure. The platform integrates real-time 3D data at low altitude with ground-level maps, using advanced AI-driven deep-learning and 3D spatial models to provide daily updates. The solution combines low-altitude safety, airspace management and service modules in order to provide navigation, collision warnings, and air route planning. It supports the entire flight cycle — before, during, and after — and caters to public, corporate, and government users. Longgang is already home to more than 10 ecosystem partners who are working together to adapt the technology to changing needs. They are focusing on low-altitude logistic, emergency response, and aerial inspections. The integrated platform is designed for high-density coordinated aerial activity in urban airspace.[
