I flew to Denver International Airport earlier this week to see the largest United Club. It’s a huge two-floor space with a staggering 33,000 sq. ft., located above the general concourse. There are plenty of seats and expansive views of tarmac.
You can take the elevator, an escalator or stairs to reach the main level. There are two electric fireplaces and lots of seating. United Airlines has a variety of seating options, including leather coaches, recliners, loungers and standard seating at tables and booths.
On the left, you’ll find a standard food buffet with tables, a Coca-Cola machine, and small work booths. I think students and professionals will enjoy this.
To the right, there is a full-service bar with additional seating, a room that has been painted in a mural (see the photo below – it’s amazing) and expansive views of the runway. The entire place is designed to look and feel like a cabin in Colorado.
There are many seating options and comforts to choose from. I could imagine myself taking calls in the exposed work booths or sitting at a table near the floor-to ceiling windows to watch the action on the ramp. The couches are also quite comfortable – I used an iPad mini to watch TV and found a plug.
United didn’t cut corners on power, which is a crucial point. Some people will pay more for clean facilities, comfortable seats, and power. Power ports are integrated into a variety of surfaces in the design. These include under lamps at booths and below rows facing windows. They can also be found on tables or lower ottomans. All of these have two standard AC outlets, as well as USB A and USB C ports.
The kicker is that these individual ports are set up to charge at 15 Watts – much better than you’d find outside. It’s also nice to know who installed them, especially with the concern about juice jackers and nefarious integrations in the ports.
Overall, it’s an elegant space that elevates everything you would expect from a lounge. There aren’t that many TVs above the bars, but there is plenty lighting in a variety of warm and cool tones. United says that the lighting is chosen to suit the environment. For example, a cooler tone might be used when you enter the room and a warmer one in a more relaxed seating area.
On the second floor, there is a spot with extra noise-canceling cushioning. During the media preview, when the lounge wasn’t full, it was completely quiet. I think travelers will appreciate that. There are also all-gender bathrooms, wellness rooms and women’s/men’s rooms. A shuffleboard is available in the game room.
There’s a private WiFi network throughout the space for the United Club, with decent speeds. Even though it’s more secure than the public Wi-Fi in the Denver International Airport, I would still recommend using a VPN.
While there are no private showers, it’s still a great spot for tech lovers because you can get a comfortable seat, charge, get a quick connection, and yes, even enjoy a cookie. United Airlines has also announced the opening of its new cabins, which feature high-tech upgrades and a redesigned cabin with Starlink, a faster, free inflight Wi-Fi system.
Speaking with TechRadar Zach grip a shared “United’s tech upgrades have been apparent throughout the travel journey, from the mobile app to the updates it makes to its lounges. For instance, the new United Club in Denver offers e-gates that allow travelers to self-scan into the lounge with no need to wait in line. This helps travelers get into the lounge faster, and also frees up agents to solve more pressing travel issues, such as helping travelers when irregular operations arise.”
that the new United Club in Terminal B of Denver International Airport will be open today, July 31, 2025. It is located near Gate 32. It is open daily from 5 AM to 9 PM Mountain Time. You can access the club with a United Club membership or Star Alliance Gold status.
United plans to open a larger club at George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston, as well as one at San Francisco International Airport and another in Hong Kong.
