OpenAI, Google, and Anthropic may disrupt the education market with new AI-based tools

AI firms could soon disrupt education with their new AI learning tools for students. BleepingComputer reported recently that OpenAI was working on a Study Together function for ChatGPT.

ChatGPT could then teach students about a variety of topics, and offer quizzes.

The idea is to create an engaging and interactive “study together” experience where students ask questions and ChatGPT puts in effort to teach them.

But it turns out that OpenAI isn’t the only AI company pursuing this industry.

Claude maker Anthropic is also building a new Study Projects feature.

As Claude’s Study Projects, which can be spotted on X as will guide you through your learning process rather than just give you answers. You can change these instructions at any time in the project. The description of the feature is

“A project for studying your course materials, where Claude helps visualize key concepts, build comprehensive study guides, and tutor you according to your learning needs,” .

Google is also testing a similar feature titled “Guided Learning for Gemini.”

Guided Learning will guide you through your learning process rather than just give answers.

Google made this move after it offered a $20 Gemini AI Pro subscription for free to students. These tools are not meant to replace a professor, but could help students learn and disrupt the online education industry.
