Nine US AI startups raised $100M or even more by 2025

The AI industry had a historic year in the U.S., and even beyond. TechCrunch’s count shows that 49 startups raised funding rounds of $100 million or higher in 2024. Three companies raised multiple “mega rounds” last year and seven raised rounds of $1 billion or more.

What will 2025 look like? Although it’s early in the year, the number of U.S. companies that have raised over $100 million is already in double digits. One round has exceeded $1 billion.

These are all the U.S.-based AI companies that raised more than $100m this year.

Anthropic and March

  • AI Research and Large Language Model Company raised $3.5 Billion in a Series E Round that valued the startup $61.5 Billion. The round was announced by Lightspeed on March 3, with participation from Salesforce Ventures and Menlo Ventures.

  • Eudia, an AI legal tech firm, raised funds. General Catalyst led a $105 million Series A round . Floodgate, Defy Ventures and Everywhere Ventures participated in the round, along with other VC firms and many angel investors. The round closed on 13th February.
  • AI Hardware startup EnCharge AI raised a $100 Million Series B round which closed on the same date. Tiger Global led the round, with Scout Ventures and Samsung Ventures joining. Santa Clara, California-based company was founded in 2022.
  • AI Legal Tech Company Harvey raised a The $300 million Series D Round valued the 3-year old company at $3 billion. The round was led and announced by Sequoia on February 12. The round was led by Sequoia and announced on February 12.

  • ElevenLabs raised $180 million in a Series C round. The company was valued at over $3 billion. The news was released on January 30. ICONIQ Growth, Andreessen Horowitz and others were co-leaders of the round. Sequoia Ventures, NEA Ventures, Salesforce Ventures and others were also involved in the round.
  • Hippocratic AI, which develops large-language models for the healthcare sector, announced a $141m Series B round on Monday, January 9. Kleiner Perkins led this round, which valued the company at over $1.6 billion. Andreessen Horowitz and Nvidia were also involved, as well as General Catalyst.
